​​HAODS (Henley Amateur Operatic and Drama Society) is bringing the high-energy musical Footloose to Henley-on-Thames in May 2026. Based on the classic 1984 film, this production is a celebration of youth, rebellion, and the power of forgiveness.

The Story

The show follows Ren McCormack, a city teenager from Chicago who moves to the conservative town of Bomont. He is shocked to find that the local Reverend Shaw Moore has banned dancing following a tragic accident. As Ren battles the local authorities to bring back the prom, he forms a bond with the Reverend's rebellious daughter, Ariel.

The production features a mix of Oscar-nominated 80s hits and original songs, including:
