Early Days

The first production of the newly formed Henley-on-Thames Operatic Society was Gilbert and Sullivan's 'The Mikado'.  Performed at The Kenton Theatre whilst it was still a cinema in February 1922 the show ran for 5 nights to full capacity audiences with people turned away on the final night if they had not already booked tickets.
